#2025-305612/South Precinct/Third Watch/S2

At 0009 hours, South Patrol responded to the area of Seward Park Ave S / Wabash Ave S for multiple callers reporting gun shots heard in the area. Upon arrival, officers located a male and female subject in a verbal altercation near two white sedans. The subjects were detained. Inside the male suspect’s vehicle officers located a black semi-automatic handgun and other evidence. The suspect was arrested for drive by shooting. GVRU was notified. The vehicle was towed pending the application of a search warrant.   

#2025-305742/West Precinct/First Watch/D1

At 0450, officers responded to an apartment complex in the 2100 block of 1st Ave to a report of a residential burglary to an apartment. Victims called 911 stating an unknown male broke into their bedroom window from the roof balcony. The victims fled the unit while the suspect was still inside. Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody as he exited the front doors of the complex. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Residential Burglary.

At 1928 hours, a call came into 911 reporting a vehicle having been stolen at gun point. Officers responded immediately. Two suspects, both armed with handguns accosted the victim stealing their keys, car and cell phone. Officers conducted an immediate area search but were not successful in locating the vehicle. Robbery notified via email.

#2025-306449/West Precinct/Third Watch/K2

At 2237 hours, a victim flagged down a passing security guard to report a carjacking with a significant time delay. Two suspects approached the victim in the 900 block of Western Ave and stole the victim’s keys, wallet, phone and car at gunpoint. No video evidence or witnesses were located. An area check for the vehicle was unsuccessful. Robbery notified via email.

#2025-305695/West Precinct/Third Watch/K2

At 0257 hours, the complainant called 911 to report that four juveniles were recording and then intentionally pushed a vehicle down the hill at the 4700 BLK of SW Alaska St. The vehicle struck the light pole. The vehicle was totaled. The suspects saw the witness and threw an object at him. The object struck the witness in the knee. The suspects then left in second vehicle. The damaged vehicle was an unreported stolen.
