At 0648 hours, officers investigated a reported bias incident and assault threat in the 5700 block of 24 Avenue Northwest, where a suspect used racist slurs and attempted to strike an employee with a vehicle. Police documented the incident, collected evidence via an Axon Citizen link, and advised the victim to call 911 if the suspect returned, though an area check was negative. 211 was notified of the hate crime. Bias notifications were made.

At 1238 hours, officers responded to a DCR assist in the 2200 block of South Jackson. King County DCRs requested SPD assistance in taking a subject into emergency protective custody. The subject had a violent history and had tried to punch his case worker in the face the previous day. As officers attempted to take the subject into protective custody, he resisted and assaulted officers. Suspect will be booked into KCJ for Assault 3 once he is medically cleared.
