At 2333 hours, Officers responded to a report of a single shot near the location. Upon arrival in the area, officers heard several further shots. A suspect was located carrying a handgun and refused commands from the officer and fled on foot and was able to evade capture. Shell casings and three bullet strikes to an adjacent retirement apartment homes across the street were located, two of which entered into occupied apartment units. KCSO K9 arrived for a track but the suspect was not located. Scene processed by patrol. 213 was on-scene and GVRU was notified.
#2025-372061/East Precinct/Second Watch/G1:
At 1855 hours, officers responded to a Child Abuse Call at 1105 East Fir St. Earlier in the day, the six-year-old victim called his seventeen-year-old sister while hiding in a closet and asked her to pick him up from their mom’s house in Kirkland. Upon picking her brother up, the older sister discovered her younger brother had been severely assaulted by their mom. The victim had numerous deep bite marks, scratch marks, and a knocked-out tooth. The older sister took her brother home to her father’s house in Seattle, and her father immediately called 911. Officers responded and the victim stated his mother had assaulted him at her home in Kirkland yesterday. Kirkland PD was notified. The victim was transported to Children’s Hospital and Kirkland PD responded to take the primary report and continue the investigation. SPD documented the info in an Assistant Agency Report. Incident screened by 213 Lt and SAU Sgt.

At 1704 hours, officers responded reference a disturbance and upon arrival and investigation, developed PC to arrest one of the involved parties for residential burglary. The suspect was taken into custody and she kicked an officer twice, resulting in no injuries. Suspect transported to KCJ via AMR and booked for Residential Burglary and Assault 3. 222 notified.
