Seattle police officers arrested an 18-year-old man following a drive-by shooting in South Seattle Sunday evening.
On Feb. 1 just before 8:00 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting near the 3000 block of South Brighton Street. A police sergeant quickly found the suspect vehicle and it eluded officers at a high rate of speed.
Officers pursued the vehicle from the New Holly neighborhood towards Beacon Avenue South and South Webster Street. The driver pulled over and officers arrested him without incident.
Police recovered shell casings from the vehicle. Officers transported the car to the Vehicle Processing Room for further evidence search. The gun is believed to be inside.
No property damage or injuries occurred during the shooting.
Police booked the suspect into the King County Jail for Drive-by-Shooting and Eluding a Police Vehicle.
