We all know how the last parade went, when nearly a million 12’s crowded the streets to welcome home their champions. On Wednesday morning, we get the privilege of doing it again – and it’s going to be AWESOME!
Let’s get serious for a second… if you plan on coming downtown to celebrate, please plan ahead.
Driving into the city is going to be extremely difficult, as Revive I-5 is still underway. Finding parking is going to be even worse. The parade route on Fourth Avenue will close to vehicle traffic around 6 am. Seriously, take the train or a bus if you can.
If you need police assistance once you get to the party, we will have officers dressed in bright yellow vests lining the parade route. We are here for questions about safety, traffic, directions, or just to say hello.
Planning to text your family and friends, video of the parade or just to chat? Don’t count on your cell phone working while you are downtown. With that many people utilizing data around you calls, texts, and the internet may become unavailable until you move away from the crowds.
If you own a drone, please don’t fly it over the crowds. The FAA has restrictions in place for gatherings like this.
