#2026-037979/West Precinct/Second Watch/Q3
At 1416 hours, officers responded to an occupied stolen vehicle. The driver was observed nodding off with the vehicle running. Officers deployed terminators and several verbal commands. The driver failed to adhere to the commands as he rammed several parked cars and two unoccupied patrol vehicles. He was apprehended nearby after he fled on foot from the damaged stolen vehicle. A firearm was recovered at the apprehension scene. K9-8 arrived and performed a successful track. Shoreline PD responded and took possession of the recovered stolen vehicle as they provided information that the vehicle was wanted by KCSO. The subject was transported to HMC for evaluation and subsequent booking at KCJ for multiple felony charges
#2026-38032/West Precinct/Second Watch/Q3:
At 1400 hours, a group gathered at the Space Needle to demonstrate the need for a regime change in Iran. The group of about 70 marched to a nearby park using the sidewalks. Patrol assisted with traffic control at intersections. 212 was notified of the event.
#2026-38253/East Precinct/Third Watch/E2:
At 1900 hours, East Precinct officers deployed to the Pike/Pine nightlife area for the Super Bowl. After the home team won the big game, crowds spilled into the street. Officers put into place a closure of E Pike between 12th Ave and Broadway and monitored the crowd. One arrest was made for a felonious assault on a nightclub security member (26-38337), and one was made for Fel. Harassment. Members of the crowd pulled down 2 stop signs at 10/Pike. No private property destruction noted. The roadway was reopened before midnight, and officers assisted with P1 collisions and DV incidents in the precinct.
#2026-38289/South Precinct/Third Watch/R1:
At 1950 hours, an officer assigned to DUI patrol for the Superbowl responded to a collision. An extremely intoxicated driver, armed with a Glock handgun and two magazines, refused to exit his vehicle and was detained with Type I force. The firearm was seized and the driver was booked into KCJ for DUI. 3rd Watch South Patrol assisted.
