At 0510 hours, officers were dispatched to 800 Jefferson Street on a burglary in progress. While attempting to arrest the suspect, the suspect assaulted an officer. The officer was not injured, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

At 1410 hours, officers were conducting a premise in an area known for the sale and use of illegal narcotics. This area has also recently been plagued with significant violent crimes. The officers observed a subject in a park conducting multiple hand to hand transactions. The officers contacted the suspect to place him under arrest. The suspect attempted to flee and began to resist but eventually was taken into custody.
