At 1619 hours, about 40 people assembled outside the South Precinct to protest. After shouting at the precinct for a short period of time, the group disbursed. Incident handled by Patrol and POET. Screened by 232.
#2026-147917/East Precinct/Second Watch/E1:
At 1800 hours, East Patrol received a call from Valley-Comm about a series of text messages containing a firearm inscribed with concerning messages regarding a prolific mass shooter. Officers were able to contact the subject away from his apartment and he was not compliant, refusing to answer questions, and later returning to his home. It was reported to 911 that the subject was seen leaving his apartment with the shotgun in a case. Crisis Response Team personnel found and detained the subject who did not have the firearm on his person. He was sent to the hospital on an ITA and CRT completed and served an Extreme Risk Protection Order. At the time of this SIR, CRT was in the process of locating the firearm.

At 2200 hours, officers received reports of two black males armed with handguns entered a business located in the 4400 block of Rainier Avenue South and demanded cash. They were only able to grab what was in the register, which was less than $100. The suspects fled the scene in a dark sedan south from the location. The Robbery Unit was notified.
