At 1156 hours, officers were dispatched to the Pine St and Boren Ave I5 overpass. Multiple callers were reporting seeing a male suspect pick up a Lime scooter and throw it over the railings on the overpass onto I5 NB traffic. According to the witnesses, vehicles along the freeway have struck the dropped scooter. This occurred while traffic was heavy on the freeway. The suspect description was provided to responding officers and the suspect was located six blocks away. Multiple cars on I5 struck the dropped scooter which caused significant damage to some of the vehicles. No injuries were reported and WSP assisted in removing the debris from the freeway. Suspect was transported and booked into KCJ.
