At 0551 hours, callers reporting shots fired at the 100 block of 24 Av S. Caller also reported seeing multiple people running from the scene and a silver sedan driving south on 24th Avenue South. Officers arrived and located multiple scenes within a block radius. Dispatch advised a victim was dropped off at HMC with a GSW to the leg. Officers interviewed two subjects that dropped off the victim who claimed the incident happened north. Officers processed scene. GVRU notified.

At 1752 hours, officers responded with SFD to a 911 call of a vehicle crashing through a pole and into a building. On arrival officers found a car that had gone over a parking lot curb and walkway, through a light pole, and slammed into a building. Apparently the 83-year-old driver and sole occupant of the vehicle had gotten their foot caught on the accelerator by mistake while parking. SFD examined the driver at the scene, but they had no visible injuries and were not transported.

At 2201 hours, a call came into 911 of an armed robbery at Beacon Avenue South and South Columbian Way. A male with his face covered entered the store with a gun drawn. The suspect grabbed a bag from another customer and then attempted to accost the employee. The employee fought back, however. Despite being struck with the suspect’s gun and subsequently injured by the suspect, the employee was able to recover the customer’s belongings, and nothing was successfully taken from the establishment. Robbery was notified.
