Multiple callers reported two separate volleys of shots in the 9000 block of Ravenna Avenue Northeast. Offices located two separate locations of shell casings approximately 100 yards apart on Ravenna Avenue Northeast. No victims or property damage were located.

At 10:15 p.m. police responded to the 600 block of 7 AV S for a physical altercation resulting in a 61-year-old man being stabbed in the abdomen. The suspect left Donnie Chin International Children’s Park, where the stabbing occurred, and was located nearby by officers. Additional officers located the victim and rendered aid until SFD arrived. The victim was transported by SFD to HMC for serious injuries. The suspect, a 19-year-old man, was arrested and booked into KCJ for assault.

Around 2:00 a.m., officers responded to a fight near 2 Avenue and James Street. A suspect with a knife was pointed out to officers before he fled on foot as officers attempted to contact him. A brief foot pursuit ensued leading officers to arrest the suspect. The suspect was booked into King County Jail.

At approximately 7:40 a.m., officers who were assigned to the Downtown Activation Team (DAT) contacted a suspect who was occupying a doorway at the location of a DAT clean up. Officers asked the suspect to move so DAT personnel could clean the doorway but the suspect refused. To not further escalate the suspect, the officers and DAT personnel moved past the suspect, and continued with the clean. Shortly afterwards, as the officers were about to move on to a different area, the suspect attempted to punch the officers. The suspect was arrest and booked into King County Jail.

East Precinct officers and detectives from the General Investigations Unit worked together on an Organized Retail Theft Operation at a drug store in the 500 block of 15th Avenue East. Thirteen arrests were made to include four felony warrants and $1,000 worth of merchandise recovered.

Around 5:00 p.m., police arrived to speak with a victim who was assaulted by a suspect while they made bias statements towards her. The victim believed she was assaulted due to her appearance and race. Further investigation revealed two other community members with similar physical descriptions were assaulted in a similar manner prior to police arrival. An area check was conducted for these additional victims but they were not located. A suspect was detained and arrested for Malicious harassment. The suspect was booked to King County Jail.
