Police went to a gas station in the 900 block of E Roy St after a victim reported that he was approached by two suspects with guns. The suspects ordered the victim to stand against the wall of the gas station, then they stole the victim’s vehicle and his wallet. Officers searched for the suspects, but they were not located.

Detectives with the General Investigations Unit and North Precinct patrol officers conducted a joint Organized Retail Theft Operation at a grocery store in Ballard. Detectives teamed with loss prevention representatives to identify and apprehend suspects. 9 suspects were arrested for shoplifting. Approximately $1,000 in stolen merchandise was recovered. This was a team effort and could not have taken place without the hard work by GIU detectives, patrol, and partnership with the loss prevention employees.

On August 21st, the victim and her son were grocery shopping in the Roosevelt neighborhood. The suspect approached the victim and made a remark about a religious clothing item he was wearing. The suspect then made comments about the victim’s religious heritage and threatened to fight the victim.

On early Wednesday morning, officers responded to a possible burglary in progress. The victim reported that multiple suspects were attempting to gain entry into their house. When police arrived, the suspects had already left the area in a vehicle. After reviewing security cameras at the residence, it was determined that multiple suspects were present with an assortment of firearms on their person. Officers searched the area and located the vehicle the suspects fled in but did not locate the suspects. The vehicle was found to be a stolen vehicle from a neighboring city.
