At 0250 hours, dispatch received reports of a car prowl interrupted led to shots fired. The registered owner of the vehicle interrupted his car being prowled by unknown male. The suspect quickly hopped into a black Mercedes with temp plates and departed the area. As the vehicle reached the intersection the suspect produced a firearm and fired three shots back at the victim. Officers located one bullet strike to a vehicle in the area. No injuries. GVRU notified via email.

At 1526 hours, officers responded to a weapon call at a school in the South Precinct. Officers arrived on scene, coordinated with school staff, and conducted a walkthrough of the school building. No one with a weapon was located. Officers determined that the original 911 call was false reporting. The suspect was later located after placing another false call to 911.
