#2026-311270/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch/W3
At 1400 hours, officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress. An unknown male suspect had attempted to enter an occupied residence in the 7000 blk of Fauntleroy Way Southwest. When he was unable to gain entry to that home he wandered further down the street where he made entry into an unoccupied home. The suspect had kicked in the back door, helped himself to food in the kitchen, before settling into a room. Officers conducted a proper search of the residence and located the suspect in the bed under covers. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently booked into KCJ for two counts of residential burglary.
