On Friday morning around 9:15 a.m., a caller reported to 911 that there was a nude female covered in blood at North Market Street and Palatine Avenue North. When officers arrived, the victim was already being treated by Seattle Fire Department medics. She appeared to have multiple stab wounds to her upper body and had a wound on her head that she said was from being hit with a sledgehammer. The victim told officers that she had been partying with the suspect, a young woman, and three men in an apartment near the 900 block of North 39th Street early this morning. The victim, suspect, and the three men left the apartment in the victim’s vehicle and traveled to an alley near the 4600 block of Palatine Avenue North. The victim reported that this is where the assault occurred and neighbors nearby reported hearing screams coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was later found near Whitman Avenue North and North 39th Street with a bloody sledgehammer inside and keys in the ignition. Police searched the area extensively but the suspect, nor the three men, were located. The victim’s vehicle was seized for evidence, and detectives will be responsible for the follow-up investigation.
