Seattle Police robbery detectives are working together with investigators from nearby agencies to identify four suspects wanted in recent armed robberies of restaurants and convenience stores.
On May 16th, Seattle Police responded to two separate armed robberies of Subway stores. The first occurred shortly after midnight in the 2300 block of Rainier Avenue South. The second robbery occurred at another Subway store in the 4300 block of Roosevelt Way NE shortly after 2:00 am. In both robberies, one suspect was armed with a handgun pointed it at employees while the other suspects jumped over the counter and took money from the cash register. Detectives have confirmed that the same suspects were responsible for both robberies. There are reports of similar robberies of businesses outside the city on that same morning.
On May 18th, between approximately 2:00 am and 4:30 am there were approximately six more armed robberies from Seattle to jurisdictions south of the city. Detectives believe that the same group of suspects from the May 16th robberies are also responsible for this morning’s crime spree. The first reported robbery occurred at a 7-11 store in the 6300 block of Rainier Avenue South just before 2:00 am. There was another reported robbery in West Seattle at another 7-11 an hour later in the 3200 block of SW Avalon Way. Detectives are working with detectives from King County, Des Moines PD and Tukwila PD as those agencies investigate similar robberies in their jurisdictions. Detectives believe that all the robberies were committed by the same individuals.
The suspect descriptions are four black males, ranging in age from 16 to early twenties. All of the suspects had their faces partially covered either by masks or hooded sweatshirts that were drawn tight. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. At this point there is no suspect vehicle description. The images below are from the Seattle robberies on May 16th.
