Detectives have confirmed the victim in this incident is a 14-year-old juvenile male.
Seattle Police are investigating an incident that left a male deceased after being struck by the Seattle Center Monorail Sunday Evening.
Shortly before 9:00 p.m., officers responded to reports of a person struck by the monorail near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Denny Way. Officers arrived and located an unresponsive male. Seattle Fire Department personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the man succumbed to his injuries.
Officers reviewed video footage of the incident and learned the male was spray painting a building adjacent to the tracks prior to being struck.
Detectives along with the King County Medical Examiner arrived on scene to investigate the incident.
