At 2304 hours, Officers responded to the reports of multiple shots located at the 8400 BLK of 12 Ave SW. Officers arrived in the area and found a victim nearby. The victim stated that he was driving Northbound on 11 Ave SW near Cloverdale and he was shot at multiple times. The victim’s vehicle had damage from bullets. Officers located a crime scene at Highland Park Elementary in their driveway. Officers found multiple shell casings and a live round. GVRU was notified about the incident.
#2025-354424/South Precinct/Second Watch/S1:
At 1730 hours, about 40 community members answered a “Call to Action” and congregated on the NE corner of 42 AVE S/S Othello ST to protest the SPD using signs, chants, and a PA. After about 90 minutes the group gradually dispersed. SPD Patrol resources monitored the protest until it concluded. First Amendment Rights were protected.
