At 0128 hours, Initial call into 911 about a suspicious circumstance at a DESC housing facility. Clients from 5th floor reporting 3 suspects with guns. Officers arrived on scene. Staff advised three subjects left the building and drove away in a black vehicle. Officers contacted occupants of the apartment in question. Occupants of the apartment did not live in the apartment but were friends of the resident. The resident left the apartment 20 minutes prior to the incident and was not there when the following occurred. The friends said there was a knock on the door, one of them opened the door. Three unknown males with handguns pushed their way into the apartment. They stole three safes from the apartment and left the 5th floor through the fire exit stairwell. They exited the building and entered a black vehicle that was waiting. Vehicle departed the area in an unknown direction. Unknown what was in safe(s), resident/victim was not available for contact at time.

At 0017 hours, a 30-year-old male was riding a bicycle southbound on Aurora Ave N in the 9700 Block when he was struck by a southbound sedan which was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver of the sedan fled southbound without stopping. The bicycle rider was transported to HMC in critical condition. TCIS responded and processed the scene.
