Child abuse suspect arrested

On May 20th at 1:52 a.m., Seattle Police North Precinct patrol officers responded to a report of child abuse at Children’s Hospital. Officers made contact with a woman, her 14-year-old son and a hospital social worker. The boy’s father had reportedly beaten him with an umbrella after an argument. The attack left the boy with numerous injuries that required medical treatment. Officers traveled to the family residence in Wallingford and arrested the suspect at 2:54 a.m. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
