Three Burglary suspects apprehended, one at large

Posted by SPD Media Relations

On July 31st at approximately 1:16 p.m. a witness called 911 reporting four males entering the window of a residence in the 4100 block of 13th Avenue South. Officers responded to the location and saw one suspect walking in the alley with a flat screen TV and other items. The suspect dropped the TV when he saw the officers and fled on foot. The other suspects then fled out the front of the house.

The 16-year-old male suspect carrying the TV was apprehended near 13th Avenue South and South Nevada Street. A second suspect, a 19-year-old male, was apprehended as he ran from the front of the house. Responding officers recognized a third suspect, a 16-year-old male, who was located and arrested approximately two hours later near Renton Avenue South and South Kenyon Street.

The adult suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary. The two juvenile suspects were booked into the Youth Service Center for Investigation of Burglary. A K-9 track for the fourth suspect was unsuccessful and he remains at large. South Precinct Burglary Detectives are actively investigating.
