Shoplifting turns violent, suspect arrested

On June 27th, at approximately 8:52 PM, West Precinct officers responded to the 600 Block of Denny Way.  The clerk of a gas station called 911 to report a suspect attempting to shoplift some items from inside the store.  After calling 911, the female suspect then came behind the counter and assaulted the female clerk, who sustained minor injuries.   The employee was able to pepper spray the suspect, who fled the store on foot.  The suspect was located by officers a short distance away and taken into custody.  The 24 year old woman was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
