On July 8th at approximately 10:48 a.m., South Precinct patrol officers responded to a 911 call of a body at a recycling center located in the 7200 Block of East Marginal Way South. The body was on a conveyor belt when employees discovered it. The body appears to be that of an adult male. Homicide detectives responded to the scene to investigate. Detectives determined that the death was not the result of an industrial accident and that the body had been brought to the plant from another location. Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) detectives were called to the scene to process the site for any forensic evidence.
