Officers continue to investigate events leading up to a fatality Metro bus/pedestrian collision on Capitol Hill.
At approximately 6:03 a.m. this morning officers responded to the 1100 block of East Pine Street to investigate a reported bus/pedestrian collision. Officers arrived on scene and discovered a deceased adult male lying in the street behind a Metro bus. There were approximately three people aboard the bus at the time of the collision however, it does not appear that any of the passengers witnessed the collision.
The circumstances leading up to the collision are unknown at this time and remain under active investigation.
Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives are responding to assist the patrol officers on scene.
