Officers responded to a hit and run at S Orcas St and Rainer Ave S on Wednesday May 7th at 10:07 p.m.
When officers arrived they found that a pedestrian had been struck in the marked crosswalk and sustained serious injuries. It is unknown if the victim will fully recover from their injuries.
The Traffic Collision Investigations Squad (TCIS) responded to the scene and is conducting the investigation.
Investigators believe the involved vehicle is a mid to late 90’s Toyota four door sedan. The car should have damage to the front end on the right side as well as the hood and windshield.
The car was last seen going northbound on Rainer Ave S and then disappeared on S Orcas St.
