A man in his 60s fatally shot his daughter and granddaughter Monday evening inside a home in the 6300 block of S. Fountain Street before turning the gun on himself.
Police received a call around 8:15 pm from a 10-year-old boy, who said his grandfather had brandished a handgun at the boy’s mother and sister before shooting them. The boy told police his grandfather then turned the gun on himself as the boy fled the home and called 911.
Detectives and officers are investigating this developing incident and we will release more details as they become available.

Update 10/28:
The two female victims of Monday’s tragic fatal shooting are 39 and 11 years old. The suspect is a 78-year-old male.
The King County Medical Examiner’s office will formally release the identities of the victims and suspect.
