Officers continue their work in support of the of 9 1/2 block strategy, stopping and arresting a felon for possession of a firearm near 3rd and Pine Street Friday night.
West precinct bike officers were on patrol downtown when they saw a man dealing drugs. Officers went to arrest the 24-year-old suspect and saw him place they believed to be drugs into his backpack. Officers quickly caught up to him and arrested him.
When officers searched the suspect they found almost 50 grams of marijuana and a revolver wrapped in a napkin.
Officers turned the marijuana and revolver into evidence, leaving one less gun on the streets.
Officers booked the suspect into King County Jail for being a felon in possession and drug charges.
