Driver Arrested After Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Roosevelt Collision

Detectives have arrested a motorist following a Tuesday morning collision in the Roosevelt neighborhood, which left a 58-year-old woman with critical injuries.

Around 10:45 AM police received reports that the driver of a van had struck a woman on the street at Northeast 65th Street and Roosevelt Way Northeast.

Medics transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested the driver, a man in his 60s, at the scene after finding signs of impairment.

SPD Traffic Collision detectives are on-scene and have closed Northeast 65th Street as they investigate.
