A 17-year-old was wounded Monday in a shooting near 23rd Avenue and East Cherry Street.
Police were called to the Garfield Teen Life Center just before 4 PM after the victim walked into the Center with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
The suspect–described as black male in his mid-to-late teens, 5’5, wearing a black and white polo shirt and black jeans–fled the area following the shooting.
Officers, a K9 team, and Gang Unit detectives are searching for the suspect and investigating the incident.
