Longtime Police Horse Harvest is Retiring, Come Say Goodbye

Police Horse Harvest and his partner Officer Wubbena

Over the past 15 years, SPD Police Horse Harvest has become a fixture in the city’s downtown core. He is easily the most recognizable member of the Mounted Patrol. Harvest will be retiring to a pleasant farm upstate at the Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center.  Little Bit is an organization that uses horses to provide therapies and activities for children and adults with disabilities. The public is invited say thanks and goodbye to Harvest at several events tomorrow.

Harvest and the Mounted Patrol kick off for a final ride, leaving CenturyLink Field at 12:30 p.m. Harvest will stop at his favorite storefronts: Diane’s Market Kitchen, World Spice Merchants, Serious Pie and See’s Candies, followed by a meet and greets at Westlake Park (~2:30 p.m.) and Occidental Park (~3:30 p.m.)
