Police Investigating After Man Shot in Leg on Capitol Hill

Police are investigating a strange dispute between two men on Capitol Hill early this morning, which ended when a a 24-year-old man was shot in the leg.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of 12th Avenue around 2:00 AM for reports of shots fired.  The victim of the shooting, unprompted, told the officer that he “didn’t break into that guy’s car.”  Officers provided first aid until Seattle Fire responded and transported the victim to the hospital.

The victim and several witnesses described the suspect as a white male, 6’2″, 170 pounds, with a shaved head, wearing all blue clothing and armed with a revolver.  Witnesses stated he fled on foot after the shots were fired.  It is believed that the victim may have been attempting to break into parked cars, however officers were unable to find any prowled vehicles in the area.
