Disturbance with Shots Fired

7000 block of 23 AV NE

On October 4th, at approximately 1023 p.m., neighbors reported hearing multiple shots from outside, then saw two males run inside a house in the 7000 block of 23 AV NE.  Officers could hear the shots from a nearby location and there were several calls to 911 regarding the shots.
Multiple officers mustered at a nearby location and formulated a plan. Officers responded to the location and  set up containment. Officers could see the suspect and reported that it appeared to be an on-going party inside, but did not see anyone in distress.

Officers entered the location through the opened front door.  All occupants were identified and no victims were located.  Some of the occupants were less than cooperative and all were intoxicated.  While interviewing the occupants, it was confirmed that shots had been fired.  The shooting suspect admitted that he was outside, down the street when he fired 5 shots at no particular target.  The suspect claims to have fired the shots because he was drunk and being stupid.

Post Miranda, the suspect advised officers of the the location of the firearm.  Officers recovered the firearm and several shell casings.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the North Precinct, where he was processed and booked into the King County Jail for Recklessly Discharging a Firearm.
