On October 5th at approximately 12:47 AM, a patrol officer saw a vehicle make an illegal u-turn at Rainier S and S Dearborn. When he attempted to stop the car, the female driver jumped out, made a slashing motion towards her arm, and said something in Spanish to the officer. She got back into the car and continued driving at a normal pace, and obeying traffic laws, until she arrived at Harborview Medical Center. When the passenger got out of the car, he was holding a bloody rag to his wrist. The investigating officers determined that the victim had been at his apartment in West Seattle, when he got into an argument with his roomate over who had turned off the television. The roomate picked up a knife and cut the victim on his wrist. The victim fled the apartment and contacted his friend, who drove him to HMC. Officers requested officers from the Southwest Precinct attempt to contact the roomate and take him into custody. SW officers did locate the roomate and took him into custody without incident. They also discovered blood throughout the apartment. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
