On October 16th at approximately 3:55 PM, officers responded to a request for assistance by the Washington State Patrol with a disturbance between two people inside of a vehicle that was travelling southbound on I-5 at about N. 92nd Street. The disturbance turned out to be a stabbing of a 42 year-old female passenger by her 42 year-old boyfriend. The vehicle was stopped and the troopers were able to take the suspect into custody. Seattle Police arrived and took over the investigation. The female victim sustained stab wounds and was transported to Harborview by Medics. The victim died at the hospital several hours later. Homicide detectives responded and began their investigation. The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Homicide-Domestic Violence.
