On October 23rd at approximately 2:00 AM witnesses phoned 911 to report that a man was seen walking up the street firing a handgun. North Precinct patrol officers responded and were told by witnesses that the shooter was not aiming at anything in particular, just randomly firing the gun. At least 5 spent shell casings were located in the 4500 block of 9th NE. A thorough search was conducted of the area. No victims or damage was located in a four square block area.
