On 12-20-08, just shortly after midnight, a homeowner in the 600 block of W. Lee Street, called in a report of a burglar in his home. The victim told the 911 operator that he believed the suspect had left the house. The suspect was described as a male wearing a dark short puffy jacket. At 1224 a.m., a resident in the 600 block of W. Highland Dr. called in a report of a male trying the door handle to his house. These victims were able to give a good description of the suspect. Officers along with a K9 responded to the scene and set up containment. At 1:07 a.m., Officers located a possible suspect in the 600 block of W. Comstock Street. The victim positively identified the man as the suspect who tried to get into her house. The 35-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail on two counts of Residential Burglary. Subsequent investigation showed that the house in the at 600 block of W. Lee was entered through an unlocked door. The garage at the same residence was also entered through an unlocked door and two cars inside were ransacked. Nothing appeared missing from the main residence.
