Pattern Armed Robbers Arrested

On January 4th at 1:37 a.m. officers responded to a 911 call of an armed robbery of a convenience store in the 4300 block of SW Admiral Way. Officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle as it fled the area. Three adult male suspects were arrested and a handgun was recovered. All three suspects, two 18-year-olds and a 21-year-old, were booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery. Since December 5th, a group of young males were believed to be responsible for eight commercial armed robberies that occurred in West Seattle, White Center and Tukwila. The suspects wore bandannas over their faces and were armed with a shotgun and handguns. Indications are that these three suspects are part of that pattern of armed robberies. However, SPD Robbery Detectives believe there are others involved who remain at large. The investigation, which is leading in a positive direction, remains active and on-going. Due to the multi-jurisdictional venues of the crimes, SPD is working in cooperation with the King County Sheriff’s Office and the Tukwila Police Department.
