On 03/06/09 at 1:30 a.m., the night Bicycle Squad on-viewed what they believed to be an assault in progress in the parking lot in the 100 block Blanchard St. Three suspects were involved. All three suspects ran when officers approached. The officers caught all three suspects. During the foot pursuits, one of the suspects threw a handgun onto the pavement. The handgun was recovered.
It turned out the assault was actually a robbery. The suspects robbed the victim of a gold chain necklace. The three suspects were arrested and booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery. The investigation continues.
