South Seattle disturbance call ends peacefully

On March 6th at approximately 11:55 A.M., officers were called to a residence in the 10700 Block of 56th Avenue South for a disturbance.  The call stated that the man inside was threatening to harm himself with a knife and arguing with others in the house.  Patrol officers and SWAT responded to the location, along with our negotiators.  The other people inside the house were able to get out, and the suspect responded to instructions from our negotiators and came out.  The 23 -year old male was taken into custody and sent to the hospital for an evaluation.  No one was injured in this incident and the entire call lasted just over an hour.
