On 03/9/09 at 10:18 a.m., School officials were notified by a concerned neighbor that students were smoking marijuana across the street from the school, near the 8600 block of Rainier Av S. School personnel waited until the subjects returned to the school then conducted a search of the students. A 17- year-old male was found in possession of a firearm. Officers responded, took the suspect into custody and booked him into the Youth Service Center without incident.
