On 4-18-09 at 1:38 p.m., officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress where the suspect had climbed onto the 2nd floor balcony and was attempting to get inside an apt. in the 500 block of W. Mercer St . When Officers arrived, the suspect had fled NB from the second floor balcony. Dispatch advised that a second victim had confronted the same suspect trying to enter the second floor porch at an apt. in the 600 block of W. Mercer Pl. When Officers arrived the suspect was gone. The suspect slid down a hill from W. Mercer St to the Shell Station in the 600 block of Elliott Av W. Officers located and arrested the suspect without incident as he was walking NB in the 600 block of Elliott Av W. The suspect, an adult male, was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary.
