Burglary arrest on Crown Hill

On May 13th at approximately 4:44 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to a 911 call of a burglary in progress to a business in the 8300 Block of 15th Avenue N.W.  A citizen called to report that they saw a male break the window and enter the store.  Officers arrived at the location while the suspect was still inside.  The suspect emerged from the store and attempted to flee past officers.  After a short foot pursuit by an officer the suspect was caught.   The suspect confessed to the burglary and also confessed to several other burglaries.  The Burglary detectives were called in to process the scene and take a detailed statement from the suspect.  The Burglary detectives will be responsible for the follow up investigation, but it appears that this suspect may be responsible for a number of burglaries that have occurred in the North Precinct.   The 21 year-old male was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary.
