On 5/18/09, at approx. 5:00p.m., a 1981 Ford Econoline Van was traveling Northbound on 24 Ave W. At approximately the 4400blk of 24 Ave W, the van crossed the lanes and then drove into the a fence storage yard. Once the van struck the fence, the vehicle came to a stop.
SFD Medics responded and treated the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The SPD Traffic Collision Unit responded and processed the scene. The driver’s medical condition improved and it was determined that he had a medical episode while operating the van.
