On June 14 at approximately 1:48 a.m. officers responded to the 2200 block of 1st Avenue to investigate the report of an assault on a waitress at a club at that location. Officers contacted the suspect and while escorting him down the block the suspect assaulted one of the officers. The suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail for two counts of misdemeanor assault and for resisting arrest. The officer was not injured.
