On June 15th at 8:51 p.m. North Precinct patrol officers responded to a report of domestic violence in the 3500 block of NE 125th Street. Officers made contact with the female victim and her two children at a parking lot at this location. The victim stated that her husband had threatened to assault her and then physically prevented her from calling 911. Officers determined that there was probable cause to arrest the suspect.
While they were awaiting additional back-up units the suspect drove up in his car. Officers contacted him and attempted to place him under arrest. The suspect fought with officers, elbowing one officer in the face twice. The suspect was ultimately placed into custody.
The injured officer was treated at the scene by Seattle Fire medics. The suspect was transported to Harborview Medical Center for cuts and bruises he sustained while fighting with officers. He was later booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
