Dump truck into building

On August 19th,  at approximately 8:12 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a call of a commercial dump truck colliding with three vehicles and then into a building at 28th Avenue and East Madison Street.  The truck was travelling eastbound on E. Madison.  Mechanical failure on the truck may have been  a factor.  The driver of one of the vehicles struck complained of shoulder pain and was transported to an area hospital as a precaution.  There were no other reported injuries.  The roadways surrounding this scene were shut down briefly during the investigation, but all roadways are now open.
