On September 1st just after midnight an orange Ford Crown Victoria sedan was northbound on Rainier Avenue South at a high rate of speed. The vehicle crossed S. Cloverdale Street, jumped the curb and drove straight into a medical clinic in the 8400 block of Rainier Avenue South. The hood of the car penetrated into the building destroying an exam room and breaking the water pipes. The two male occupants of the vehicle (driver and passenger) fled the scene on foot.
Both subjects were apprehended in the 9000 block of Seward Park Avenue South after a successful K-9 track was done. A witness to the incident positively identified one subject as the driver of the suspect vehicle. The driver/ suspect, a 20-year-old male, was arrested and booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Felony Hit and Run Property Damage. The suspect vehicle was impounded and taken to the evidence garage.
