On 9/22/09, at approximately 8:10 p.m., the victim was walking his two dogs in Rodgers Park(1 Av W. and W. Raye St.) when he saw a group of 5 or 6 males 19-21 years old, being “loud and obnoxious”. As the victim, a male 45- years-old, neared the group he said something to the effect that they could not party there and should leave.
The main suspect who had a Pitbull dog with him verbally attacked the victim. This suspect then grabbed the victim in a headlock and wrestled him to the ground.
Other members of the group then apparently struck the victim while he was on the ground being held by the first suspect. The victim stated most of the suspects left in a vehicle.
The victim suffered a small cut on his nose but declined medical attention. Officers checked the park on foot but did not locate anyone.
The main suspect is described as black male.
