On 10/4/09, at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Rainier Av S and S Rose St for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival they contacted the victim. He stated he was leaving the area driving a maroon Toyota Corolla when a silver Jeep Cherokee pulled in front of his vehicle on Rainier Av S.
A heavy set male was driving the Jeep Cherokee. A male passenger exited the Cherokee and approached the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle and opened the door. At the same time two females exited the Jeep Cherokee and approached the driver side of the victim’s vehicle and opened the door. The male suspect punched the victim and told him to get out as the female suspects pulled him from the vehicle. The three suspects then drove off in the victim’s vehicle southbound on Rainier Av S followed by the Jeep Cherokee.
The victim described all suspects as being in their early 20’s. The victim declined medics at the scene and had no visible injuries. No property other than the vehicle was stolen during this incident. An area check for the suspects and vehicles was negative. The suspects were described as 2 black males and 2 black females.
