On 10/20/09, at approximately 9:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1000 block of W. Nickerson St., involving a fight between residents of an apartment building.
The intoxicated suspect punched the victim in the face. When the victim punched the suspect back the suspect pulled out a folding knife. The suspect chased the victim with the knife threatening to kill him and his family while they were asleep.
The victim finally drew a hand gun and the suspect ceased his attempt to stab him. Officers arrived and arrested the suspect, at which time the suspect spit at one officer’s face and kicked another officer in the thigh while handcuffed and being walked to a patrol car.
Neither officer was injured. The suspect was booked in to King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
